Anatoly and I worked for sister companies on the same floor for a year where we shared friends but had never actually spoken to each other. That summer, when we both departed our common place of employment, we kept in touch with our
mutual friends by meeting after work every week to rollerblade the W&OD trail and then retiring to our favorite watering hole for happy hour. Through these weekly excusions we developed a friendship that evolved into romance.
